Nice music and artstyle <3

Hey!

I just wanted to say that I had a great time playing the game. It was simple, but kept me hooked until I was able to unlock all of the upgrades. I did run into a little bug when I was almost maxed out on upgrades - even though the panel showed that I had them all, my stats (health and fuel) reset when I launched the rocket. I hope this can be fixed in the future, but I still had a great time playing.

I would love to see more features added to the game, like more planets, customizable rockets, and more upgrades. However, I do think it would be great if you focused on making the game as polished and high-quality as possible before adding more content.

Keep up the great work and congratulations!

Thank you!

We really appreciate your feedback :)

I did it, I went to the moon!

I love these types of games and it's really charming but I really want to give you guys some feedback. As I feel like it was lacking a lot of polish. I hope you guys don't take it the wrong way but I am a firm believer in growth through feedback. Keep in mind I spend a lot of time writing this out to benefit you guys.

Art Design
The pixels are blurry maybe because of colour interpolate or because the camera isn't scaled properly?

You guys should have tried to find some free textures to use because it feels a bit bland I feel like it could have looked a lot nicer with some simple free textures. It doesn't really feel like I'm going anywhere.

Game Design
I feel like there were a lot of balance issues as launch speed seemed to not really do anything.

Asteroids always seemed to come from the right side and I felt using the arrow keys didn't really do anything. If I used W or D too much I didn't have any asteroids coming at me at all.

Eventually it felt like I was just looking at a spaceship model with some particles on the screen while 1 bar went down and the distance went up.

UI
When you've launched the spaceship it says "Retrun to base".
The fuel meter doesn't seem to scale properly after upgrading the spaceship.

Music and Sound Design
I feel like I'm not really getting excited from the music it sounds kinda sad. I feel like you could have gone for something more exciting and hyped. Maybe have some different tracks for different scenes?

Sound effects were decent but maybe there could have been a bit more.

All in all I can tell you guys did put a lot of your soul and ideas into it. I hope this feedback can help you grow and become even better at what you do.

A bunch of thanks for your feedback! We love the fact that you're honest because this is what makes us create better projects.

I am happy you took it the right way! All things considered you guys finished a game in the game jam and poured your heart into it and that's important!

Hello TheArxcity I've read your review and appreciate your feedback!

1. Art Design:

I read everything and want to explain the game was intended to blurry and pixelated to replicate the N64 feel

We also wanted to make the game low poly at the same time without alot of eye catching textures.

2. Game Design:

At some point we tried implementing a system that spawns the asteroids randomly ,but the system was a bit of a mess so we had to remove it and make a spawner with a timer I'm not sure how the Asteroids are only coming from the right side I'm pretty sure one spawns in the middle the other two spawn from the sides I took some notes and since this a game jam we had to take shortcuts

3. UI:

I'm really don't know about that one I've tried it multiple times and the fuel bar seems fine to multiple people maybe its a bug that occured to you (which I'll look into later on)

4. Music/sfx:

This is a space music I know it feels sad but thats how most of them are , also we had only the last day to make music so we were in a hurry!

SFX wise we had loads of sfx and managed to implement only few due to time constraints!

-------------------------------------------------------------

I truly appreciate your feedback this was my first attempt trying to make a project this big and we all had to pour alot of time into making it look somewhat decent and playable and fun we all appreciate your feedback!
